ident themes normally tend to relate to things such as sessions for example during Christmas time you will have ident that include subjects such as snow,  family's and Christmas decorations etc. or a suite of ident are created due to current events for example if the football world cup was being broadcasted the idents would be designed in a way that is promoting the event.


in the ident above the theme is called 'colors' you can see the theme going throughout the suite. in each ident, it starts off black and white or very dull and boring colors that are not exciting at all but then by the end of the ident the colors bring the whole ident to life.  but its all done in an artistic manner and this corresponds with the channels branding and the content of the channel which is to do with art based shows.

the theme of the suite of idents appeals to the target audience because sky arts is an artistic tv channel and it appeals to people who are interested in shows that are creative and inspiring and that can help stimulate creativity. these idents show a sense of creativity and flair and a bit of culture is integrated into it aswell, for example, the first one was a Chinese woman who was holding an oriental Chinese hand fan and as she opened it bursted into a ray of colors of butterfly which looked very beautiful and artistic. which brings me to the tone of the suite which I would describe as being calming and majestic like when you watch it you feel calm and at peace.

I think that this suite of idents is information and entertainment lead. I think it is entertainment led because when you look and watch it, it is visually entertaining someone who enjoys arts would love the concepts that are going on in the suite which the different type of art, for example, the last ident is abstract that is created by a dog. I feel that it is information led also because when you watch the idents you can see the channels branding, you are able to see that this channel is all about art and creativity and gives the viewer an indication of what they are about. 

i would think that the suite of idents would be made for about spring time for example in the first ident you see the fan morphing into a swarm of beautiful butterflies which would normally happen around spring time. also in the second ident the tree is empty and plain and then the umbrella blossomed into beautiful different colours just as flours would do in spring.
