the opening scene is a long shot of the little girl in her room which makes it look very small and isolated and on her own making her very vulnerable. the shot is at a low angle slowly zooming in to her face which is suggesting that something is coming from underneath the bed and down below is normally associated with hell so something evil may be coming from under.

when her father walks in they kept continuity very well with the use of the 180 degree rule as you can see with the screenshots provided on the left. you can see the rule was applied and used well, all the shots stayed on one side of the action line. also here they used a two shot which was obviously to capture both people in the shot but also it is a very good example of one.

In this screenshot the doll is position in a weird way, us as the viewers we know that because this a horror/thriller a little girl and/or a doll is normally possessed is a convention on the genre but also the doll is surrounded by other childish toys that look harmless and cute which contrast between the two because one is innocent while the other one is evil creating juxtaposition.
In this shot there is a low angle shot of the doll showing that it is dominant

The costume that the girl is wearing implies that the doll was once innocence and it also shows that she may be vulnerability and that she may be entrapped in somebody else's body.
